Payment Infrastructure for Programmable Money

Hypothesis

Banks will adopt programmable money through product validation, not policy debate. Institutions that simulate stablecoin flows first will ship first.

The Thesis

Bank stablecoin programs stall in policy committees debating an abstraction. The banks that ship programmable money will validate instead: a working wallet, gateway, or remittance flow in front of product and compliance teams, so the concrete thing settles the argument.

StablecoinRoadmap makes that possible before a charter question is answered. Working templates cover wallets, payment gateways, and remittance platforms, the three products banks reach for first. A sandbox simulates the full payment flow: issuance, transfer, redemption, reserve movements, and the failure cases in between.

Payment flows fail in the corners: a redemption during a reserve rebalance, a corridor that behaves differently under load. Finding them on live rails is expensive. A bank that rehearses them in sandbox enters a pilot knowing what breaks. We know because we built the technology for a BMA-licensed digital asset bank, the first attempt at a stablecoin-native bank.

The test: whether sandbox-validated products move institutions to pilots faster than policy work alone. If not, the bet fails. With a federal framework for payment stablecoins in place, the constraint has shifted from permission to operational readiness, which is what this bet needs.
