The Thesis
Ask why a bank has not deployed a capable AI system. The answer is the core that closes at 6 p.m., the half-documented schema, the business logic in a language the last expert retired with. Models improve monthly; the systems they must reach predate the web.
The classical answer, a multi-year modernization program, is so expensive and so often failed that waiting is rational. MigrateForce tests whether agentic systems change that math: converting legacy code, schemas, and embedded business logic into modern architectures fast enough to turn a decade-defining bet into a quarters-long project.
The hard problem is preserving intent: carrying forward behavior documented nowhere except the code, across brittle dependencies and incomplete tests. Agentic migration earns its claim only if the migrated system behaves identically where it matters, and provably so.
The test: real codebases, measured compression, verified equivalence. If agentic migration works only on toy systems, the bet fails, and institutions running decades-old cores stay unreachable to the models everyone keeps improving.
